MCREST is excited to announce our collaboration with Inside America Foundation Thrift Stores. Due to our limited storage area, we are asking that what you might have brought to MCREST such as clothes, household items, etc, that you now take to the IAF Thrift store in Sterling Heights, in MCREST’S name, in return, IAF will be providing us vouchers for our clients to shop at their stores.   Donation forms are posted below to print out and take with your donations. Donation Forms   We still need your help however with the following items and will be greatly appreciated. Drop off at our Roseville office during regular business hours.      • Diapers and / or baby wipes, toddler foods      • New Men’s white T-shirts, socks, underwear      • New/Gently used bath towels      • New/Gently used wash clothes      • Gas Cards      • $5 Gift Cards for McDonalds, Arby’s, Burger King (for our new         clients coming in and waiting for their intake.

Donate a vehicle or boat, running or not, to Charity Motors (www.charitymotors.org) and designate MCREST to received an substantial percentage of the proceeds. You claim the fair market value as a tax deduction and someone gets a car & or boat. Charity Motors also assists with appraisals and towing.

MCREST is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Your donation can be used for tax purposes in accordance with Federal and State law.

The Michigan Tax Code provides a 50% credit up to $100 for individuals on a $200 gift, a credit up to $200 for married couples on a $400 dollar gift and a $5000 tax credit for a business on a gift of $10,000 to a homeless shelter.

This tax credit ends in Michigan after 12/31/11. Donations can also be used on itemized Federal Returns depending on your tax bracket. Please consider MCREST as your year-end charity of choice.
